Well, that's what my kids call it!
Crumb Cake
1 Yellow cake mix 4 cups all-purpose flour 4 sticks of butter - softened 1 cup light brown sugar 1 cup cane sugar cinnamon to taste Confectioner's sugar
~~~~~~
Bake the yellow cake. **I use a 17.5 X12 baking pan
While the cake is baking, mix the dry ingredients and then cream in the butter. When there is 10 minutes left in baking time, sprinkle the mix generously over the cake, covering the surface completely. Place back in oven for 10 - 15 minutes.
While the cake is cooling, sprinkle with confectioner's sugar.
When completely cooled, sprinkle lightly with confectioner's sugar.
~~~~~~~~~~
I've tried this in smaller baking pans, but my family insists that this is the only way to achieve the proper "crumb to cake" ratio! They don't like too much cake or too much crumb!!
