I'm making pork chops and am trying to decide between a white creamy gravy or a prepackaged pork gravy mix. I've never tried using pork gravy before and was wondering which one is best?

Sent from my iPhone using ProBoards app A can of cream soup makes an excellent gravy for meats. Pick the one you like, mushroom, celery, whichever and dilute it enough to cover the meat and let it simmer a little while.

Well I'm waaaaaaaaaaaaay late, but I'd never use a prepackaged gravy mix if I had meat drippings.

Sent from my iPhone using ProBoards app I would go with the cream gravy.Make a rou with pan drippings and flour. When the flour gets a little brown add milk to the gravy and add a dash of seasoning salt if you will. This makes the best gravy and will taste ten times beter than packaged gravy anytime.

That's my gravy recipe too! My mom and grandma both used the same recipe - and my great-grandmother. They were (mom is still alive) all Okies.
