Julie baked some brownies the other day and they came out all rubbery. Any thoughts as to what might have caused that?

scratchBrownies are easy to over mix. That might have been the problem. Other than that, try another recipe. There are some excellent recipe sites on the net.

i looked around on the web and some are saying that too much oil in the batter will cause the brownies to become rubbery.

Hmm, not sure she put any oil in them. Just margarine. And she says she didn't overmix it either. The mystery continues.
