Bob found this recipe and we tried it last night. We didn't have the ham or bacon pieces but figured it wouldn't matter that much. It's a keeper. They were really good burgers, very moist. might add the ham and bacon next time....or not.
Hawaiian Burger
2 1/2 lb lean ground beef
1 C crumbled blue cheese (4oz)
1 C finely chopped onion
1 8 oz can crushed pineapple, drained
1 2.8 oz package cooked bacon pieces
1 C diced ham
2 tsp ground black pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
8 slices sharp cheddar cheese (optional)
In a very large bowl combine beef, blue cheese, chopped onion, pineapple, ham, bacon pieces, pepper, and garlic powder; mix well. Shape into eight 1 inch thick patties (make them thinner if you like, I did)
Toss em on the grill add the sliced cheese at the end.
sooooo good!
This really does sound so good ,but I would leave out the black pepper because I hate pepper.
