You can use either a regular pie crust, or a cobbler dough, which I like to do. I don't like making pie crust and the ones you buy at the store aren't as good. Here's the filling:
Put sliced peaches in baking dish - if using canned peaches, drain off the juice.
Mix the following together first: 2 T. flour 1 C. Sugar
Then add the following:
3 eggs, lightly beaten 2 C. milk 1 tsp. vanilla Sprinkle with nutmeg Pour this mixture over peaches
Cobbler Dough Recipe:
1 C. flour 1/2 C. sugar 1 tsp. baking powder Pinch of salt 1/2-2/3 C. milk 1 egg 1/2 tsp. vanilla 1/2 stick melted butter
Mix dry ingredients together first, then add the rest of ingredients.
If using cobbler dough, drop by spoonfuls over peaches and custard and bake at 350 for 1 hour, or till dough is baked and custard is set up.
